" Our Faith is the Link Between Our souls and God"

Hebrew 11:32-33 - "Time will fail me if I tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah... who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises."

In a more in depth approach to our FAITH, we can say that it is the link between our souls and God. Faith is the means or our capacity of entering into fellowship with the Eternal Love and Power. Faith enables us to have the capacity to do all things with the sense that it is not we who do them, but God in us and with us in God. We may say that "Faith" is the open door, window or channel  towards God.  In faith our heart goes out towards God in clinging dependency, and God comes in to strengthen us with His Divine fullness and influences.

Our nature in this human life is to seek our trust in man, we draw and look from man and all that he is able to supply us and think that is sufficient. But in the Divine world, faith draws upon the resources of God, so that they flow freely into our nature, and the results of our lives' works and deeds  are immensely increased. Faith is possible amidst the great deal of ignorance and disturbances in this life. In the above text, it is clear that Gideon, Barak, Samson, and Jephthah were kind of  ignorant of the "Truth" which the Gospel has revealed, and yet we learn that their work was largely due to their "Faith." Several dispensations come and go; and  the revelation of God grows from less to more; but the attitude of FAITH is always the same. It is like the simple Faith that the woman that touched the hem of Christ's garment, as in St. John the beloved disciple, who had years of training in Jesus Christ's School of Disciples, brought us Great Faith in his writings.

The results of Faith may achieve very different results in our lives. In some, it produces the heroic strength that turns the battle from being lost to being won; in some, the passive suffering that endures the long ordeal of pain which  brings result in a more passive way as in the case of Jesus. Here in the Story and Text above,  it turns the edge of the sword; there, shuts the mouths of lions.

We know how electric force may be applied to all the various machinery of human life. In one place used for the beaming light, in another to drive the motor car, or to flash the message of music and speech from one continent to another. So Faith is able to appropriate God's might for any purpose that lies within the compass of the our tasks and responsibilities in life, whether active or passive.

Our God bears us JESUS as witness to all who trust in HIM. He never fails us in the hour of need. His response is the echo of our appeal. We know from Science that as soon as the uplifted arm of the electric train touches the overhead wire, there is the spark, and the immediate entrance of electric power enter this vehicle to full mobility of active  life, so does God's  answers to LIVING FAITH in us.

Let Us Pray:   Lord we are full of need, but we have learned that you are the SOURCE that gives  power to the faint and to the less powerful individual. Change our weakness into Thy strength, our ignorance to be filled with Your wisdom; our secular lifestyles  into Thine Spiritual everlasting constancy.

In Him comes the Source of my Faith,
