SPRING UP THE WATER OF LIFE IN US

All over  Facebook it seems Christians are no longer vessels of honor to proclaim the Good News and the True Religion of Jesus, but instead arguing which one's congregational creed and religion is the true one. In the most objective and most normative or emphatic sense meaning you can not  refute it,  "True Religion" is the union of the Spirit of God with the human spirit and effected in and only, through Jesus Christ. The Apostle John said that "He that is joined to the Lord is one Spirit. Jesus is the Mediator between God and man. He reveals the Father, unites us with the Father, and comes with the Father to make His home with us (John_14:21-23).

The implication is that our religious life should become a springing fountain . The woman spoke of "the well," our Lord of "the spring in the well." She spoke of the fatigue and the burdensome of drawing up of the water from the deep well, but  He of the rising-up. We must understand that the many religions we have are not spontaneous, but derived.  Our religions must have religious services, or a a rousing preacher, or books of religious creeds, doctrines and other religious stimulants. Of course, we may profit from them, but we must not depend upon them. We must depend on the "WORD OF GOD" not from "Words about God." We know from Sunday School the there is ONLY ONE "WORD OF GOD" the BIBLE and that is final. We Christians must  learn the habit of being still before God, till His love rises yearningly and earnestly within us.

Whatever impedes the uprising of the Fountain in us must be removed. A curious thing once happened at a hospital water system. The hospital  was full of patients, when suddenly the entire water-supply failed. After every effort had been made to trace the failure, a plumber was sent for, who went at once to the junction between the main supply and the hospital water supply. On opening this a big toad was discovered, which had filled the main water junction and made it impossible for the water to pass through. The toad come in as in as a tiny tadpole, and had lodged and lived  in the joint for quite sometime, living and surviving on the water, until it overgrown  like a balloon to full-grown and finally sealed the passage to the freely flow of water to the needed occupants.

Something like this may happen in our lives. Hidden sin may grow within us, and if left unchecked it will overgrown in our lives, until it chokes the incoming love of God. Jesus knew that in the woman's heart there was unconfessed sin, which blocked her reception of the Living Water.  In mercy, Jesus uncovered the evil thing, the obstacle was removed, and the Fountain of Life immediately arose within her. She ceased her arguments and unbelief, and immediately became a disciple. She forgot her prejudices, and full of new life left behind her water pot. She ran off to town in joy and happines telling everyone she met that at last she had found the Water of Life, the Messiah. As a result not only she was filled with new Religion of Jesus, but she returned with the whole town to partake in drinking from the "New Water of Life",the  Religion of Jesus Christ. My friends Jesus is awesome, amazing, and most important Jesus Religion is free from any man made restrictions and legalities.

Jesus, Our Savior we are nothing better than common earthenware, but may we be cleansed and purified, and then filled with Your Heavenly treasures. Dip us deep into the water of life,  and give refreshment through us to many broken, parched and weary hearts of this world.
