Luke 11:9 - "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."
The
Bible has given us numerous conditions to claim when we talk to God in
our prayers. Our prayer must be sincere and must be offered in the Name of Christ, i.e., it must be in harmony with the Nature of Christ, which indeed a true revelation of the radiance and Glory of God and to the blessing of our fellowmen. That “Name of Christ ”
will eliminate our self-centeredness and selfishness which is a
hindrance to our request and petition to God. Our Request to God must
likewise be based upon claiming any promises of God and to be presented
to Him as a check being presented to redeem in the Bank.
All these are yet steps to the Faith that attain, for it is, nonetheless, not prayer alone but Faith that obtain promises and guarantees God answering our prayers.. Much of our prayer fails because we forget that He said, "Every one that asketh, receiveth"; and again, "All things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye have received them, and ye shall have them" (Mark 11:24).
Our
Prayer and "Faith" should reverently kneels before God, glorifying and
praising Him for His greatness, goodness and mercy. It is conscious of
needing some very special gift which is promised. In the Name of Christ
it presents the request with the confidence of a child. With
earnestness of desire and speech it unfolds the reasons why the gift
sought is so important and necessary.
But it does not
leave prayer at this point to go away in uncertainty as to what the
issue shall be. By an act of the spirit, we the petitioner seems to
receive definitely the spiritual or even the temporal gift; and realizes
that it has received, that the special grace has been imparted, to be
discovered and used under stress of need; that the temporal gift has
also been received. Though it may be kept back until the precise moment
when it can be delivered, but it is in the same greatness and joy in
much the same way as a present may be purchased long before the time of
handing it to its destined possessor.
By saying these promising results; "be given you, shall find, and shall be opened ,"
Christ is emphasizing the mighty effect of prayer upon Him, because it
makes it so much more definite. Our Prayer leads to praise, because we
are able to thank God for His gift. It is our lifeline flowing
spiritually in us supplying the bloodline and veins of our Spirit being.
You and Me must take it seriously and as well PRAY EVERYDAY AND GROW!!!
In Christ I say my Amen!
