Moses in his writing of Genesis 18:14 - gave us this affirmation: "Is anything too hard for the Lord?" and even Jeremiah in his struggle has the assurance that "Ye
Lord God! behold, Thou hast made the heaven and the earth by Thy great
power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for Thee." Jeremiah 32:17.
There is no doubt in my mind to the identification of these "three guests" that suddenly appeared before the tent of Abraham as clearly understood as "Jehovah God appeared unto him." It was thus that our Lord Jesus was fore-planning and looking forward to His Incarnation. He came incognito and His divine identity concealed, and "His delights were with us the sons of men". During His earthly life, He loved the homes of his parents, lodged with Peter and Zacchaeus, asking for water at the well, walked and talk with John and in the dear home where Mary loved and Martha He served them well. After His resurrection, He walked with two of them to the road to Emmaus . So He will come to thy heart and mine. Though He is the High and Majestic One, who inhabits Eternity, yet He will plead for admission to fellowship with us and we with Him. But He often comes disguised as a needy man, hungry and thirsty, and no place to spend the cold nights, and the question is "are you going to lend Him a hand."
God is no man's debtor; He always pays for His debts, just like His promise to Sarah. Sarah laughed with disbelief looking at the impossibility of the possibility, but is anything too hard for the Lord? That is one of God's unanswered questions. It has accosted the human conscience all down the ages. Let us look away from the difficulties imposed by nature, to Him who holds the oceans in the hollow of His Almighty hand. Then we can stand with Him on the mountainside, and plead for Sodom; then God Himself will draw us on to ask for more and yet more, till, when our faith gives out, He will do something far in advance of all that we asked or thought.
Lord only You can able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Make us come near to You in complete Faith, for You have given us the so much evidences to see and believe in You so that we can see and believe the things that we have not seen yet. Amen.
Today We Just Want to Say: "Thank You Jesus."
